06.21.10 CMS launches EHR incentive program site
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) launched the official Web site for the Medicare & Medicaid electronic health record (EHR) incentive programs at www.cms.gov/EHRIncentivePrograms. The EHR incentive programs will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals and hospitals as they adopt, implement, upgrade, or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology.

The AMA has developed an educational resource, "Steps physicians should take if in danger of identity theft," to help physicians protect themselves if they believe their identity may have been stolen.
