CMS flagging March 13 deadline for 2016 EHR program
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is stressing that “eligible professionals (EP) that participated in the 2016 Meaningful Use Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program must attest using the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System by Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.”
CMS also emphasizes that, “If you have an attestation status of ‘Pending eReporting,’ you have selected to report your Clinical Quality Measures electronically and CMS has not received your eCQM data. If you have only submitted the eCQM data for PQRS and do not also report for the Meaningful Use program by March 13, your attestation will expire and you will not meet Meaningful Use. We urge you to check and ensure you do not have any outstanding data requirements for satisfying Meaningful Use or PQRS.”
