The American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will host three regional “listening sessions” – including one in Atlanta on Tuesday, February 28 – to “explore the role of physicians in implementing the CDC’s 6/18 Initiative.”

The 6/18 Initiative was “developed to provide health care purchasers, payers, and providers with rigorous evidence about high-burden health conditions and associated evidence-based interventions to inform their decisions to have the greatest health and cost impact in the short term (i.e., less than five years).”

ACPM says that, “Providers will have a rare opportunity to engage with ACPM and CDC leadership and give feedback on how to include this initiative in various practice settings.”
