Gov. Deal declares state of emergency
Gov. Nathan Deal has declared a state of emergency for much of Georgia as a result of the winter storm that is expected to reach the state during the afternoon/evening hours on Friday, January 6. His executive order covers 78 counties in the state, including the entire Atlanta metro area. It will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8.
The Medical Association of Georgia’s office will close at noon on Friday, January 6.
